The Gate community projects is built on the heart of Jesus actively sharing the love of God to all his children.
We are primarily focused of the youth, offering children hope through Jesus Christ. Most of the children/teenagers/young adults in this ministry come from broken homes where alcohol and drugs are abused. Many of these children have suffered terrible trauma and experienced complete hopelessness and despair in their lives. We have been able, by the grace of God to offer them a way out of the darkness. We offer weekly bible study to help them learn the word of God and understand all that it entails to live a life dedicated to Christ. On weekends we experience different Churches and events. We also have wholesome fun such a beach trips, museum visits and other awesome excursions. We have successfully managed to enrol some of the older kids in college and a few are able to complete their matric. We would like to offer children/teenagers/young adults the opportunity to continue schooling, further their studies and create job opportunities where necessary.
The Gate community projects strongly believes in prayer, healing and deliverance, counselling, education and learning the word of God. We offer the tools to equip all youngsters to live the life that God has purposed and called them to live.
We strongly believe in walking out the word of God and building up powerful vessels for the kingdom of God.
God is looking to raise up those willing and available to bring the light and salvation of Christ to a dark and dying world.
Some of our older girls have already gone to the streets to pray for those in need through the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. We feed and pray for the homeless while seeking better opportunity for them. Our current focus is on the Western Cape in areas such Stellenbosch, Brackenfell, Durbanville, and Bellville. We will be reaching out to children’s homes, hospitals, and schools soon to spread the gospel.
Join us in worship, stay encouraged, and let’s grow in faith together!
Francois Testimony
My name is Francois Laubscher, and I was born into brokenness. As a child I experienced severe abuse and as a result suffered trauma. I was removed from my home and placed into an orphanage with others who had suffered as I did.
I tried my best to make a success of my life playing professional rugby but could never have breakthrough in the areas I pursued.
Deep rooted pain took me onto a path of self-destruction. Lost and without peace, I went into the world trying to find direction and fill the void inside. I entered the psychedelic world of escape looking to fill emptiness only to lead me to rock bottom where I met… Jesus.
Jesus pulled me out of darkness and into his beautiful light. He filled the void inside of me with all that I ever needed…his love. Through a ministry named Touching Hearts, I have received deep healing and deliverance from a lifetime of pain. Jesus has called me into ministry to serve others and be a vessel in his Kingdom. He has called me to speak Jesus to the broken-hearted, afflicted, and the poor. I am so grateful to have a new life in Christ and want to grow this ministry for his glory.
The name is based on the scripture that the Lord gave me:
John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
We also sell some of our t-shirts that we use when gathering and also for Evangelism
First, we must understand church is not a building, a Sunday school class, or a service time. According to scripture, a church gathering is a group of people coming together in Christ and the people are the church. Jesus shows us in Matthew 18 that a gathering can be as little as two people together.
You will meet like minds who are ready to win souls for God’s Kingdom
There are no rules as to what to bring to church, other than your self, an open heart and mind. Some bring a bible, if you’re going to engage in bible study.
If you want to know how to dress for church, something modest and comfortable should be fine.
Ask your friends if they have a place to worship the Savior and invite them to come worship with you, especially at times like Christmas and Easter. If they aren’t Christians, ask them if they’d like to learn more about Jesus Christ and invite them to experience a Christian worship service with you. Remember to show the same respect for their beliefs that you hope they will give yours.
